A Guide to Mother's Day Brunch

Simple Floral Table Setting

Guests will be sure to love this setting composed of several individual flower arrangements that double as place cards and take-home flowers. To create this setting, simply fill a vase or cup of choice with water and fill with flowers of choice! Add a personalized photo using bamboo skewers {found at the grocery store}, cardstock and a hot glue gun. Be sure to adjust the skewer to the proper height. Neutral table runners and accessories will make these arrangements pop!

DIY Mini Mother’s Day garland

Inspired by www.homeyohmy.com, this DIY Mini Mother’s Day garland is the perfect topper for cupcakes, waffles, or cards!

Here’s what you’ll need:
3/4″ circle punch
1/16″ hole punch
sticker letters
bamboo skewers


Step 1: Punch out as many circles from the cardstock as you’ll need to display your message

Step 2: Stick each letter onto a circle.

Step 3: Use the hole puncher to cut two holes across from each other at the top of each circle.

Step 4: String each circle together through these holes.

Step 5: Double-tie the ends of the strings to bamboo sticks and cut off any excess.

Pancake Skewers Recipe

Inspired by www.momtastic.com, this Pancake Skewers Recipe makes for the perfect brunch addition!

1¼ cups all-purpose flour
1¼ cups buttermilk
½ cup melted unsalted butter
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons canola oil
1 pint berries
¼ cup powdered sugar
Bamboo skewers


In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients except canola oil, berries and powdered sugar. Some lumps will remain; set aside to rest.

Heat a large nonstick skillet, frying pan or griddle over medium heat and add canola oil to heated surface. Ladle on 1 tablespoon of batter for each pancake and cook until bubbles cover the top, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown, another minute. Repeat with remaining batter. 

Skewer 3-5 pancake coins on each bamboo skewer and top with fresh berries and powdered sugar.

Mom-osa Bar

Tie it all together with this clever Mom-osa bar inspired by www.mainlyhomemade.com!

Here’s what you’ll need:
Champagne (Chilled)
Orange Juice (Chilled)
Fresh or frozen fruit for garnish


Fill a champagne glass with one part Champagne of choice and one part orange juice of choice add a piece of fresh fruit to garnish.

*TIP: Freeze berries, so it keep the drink cooler for longer!
